About Me

New Home Energy Management & ConsultingNew Home Energy Management & Consulting was established in December 2008. It is currently a sole proprietorship home based business located within Lethbridge County.

Prior to opening my door for business, I completed four years of College to study Architecture and Construction Engineering, upon which I have gained more than 20 plus years of experience within the construction industry as a Civil Technician, Warranty Services Representative and Building Science Technologist in a variety of residential and commercial settings.

My interest in efficient energy management and conservation, along with the technical expertise obtained from conducting technical audits and building envelope investigations has led me to appreciate the need to promote practical sustainable building practices within the building industry.

The Built Green Program promotes practical yet effective environmental solutions we can integrate into our everyday lives. Choosing a Built Green home will provide will provide energy savings for the life of the home, creating a economic incentive for the buyer to purchase a certified Built Green home.

Choosing a "green" future also means that there will be resources left for future generations. Built Green also provides the tools to individuals who are looking for a "healthier" home to address the odor of chemicals that are not healthy. This will result in a reduced impact on the environment and influence the direction of developing technologies and material.

New Home Energy's mission is to increase awareness today of the way buildings impact people's lives and the health of the planet. Sustainable design and construction practices can significantly provide energy saving for the life of the house, conservation of materials and resources, and improve air quality to create a "healthier home"
